Welcome to Slack Developers, your destination for building on the Slack platform, the work OS.

Whether you are building your first automation with Workflow Builder, or creating a custom app using our SDKs, we have all the resources you need to bring people and systems together using Slack.

We believe that Slack is the future of work, and our goal is to enable and empower you to build that future. On this site, you’ll find tools which include our developer program, code samples, Block Kit Builder, SDKs, and more. We’ve also put together curated learning resources to support your developer journey, including tutorials, workshops, and learning paths. All of these resources are built by our Developer Experience team, which is dedicated to helping you succeed as a Slack developer.

Looking for some inspiration? We’ve got it! Check out our developer stories, a series that showcases what Slack developers are building, why they are building it, and how. We also have a developer blog dedicated to digging deeper into the Slack platform with Slack subject matter experts. And, to tie it all together, we brought in the Slack Community to encourage you to join and participate in our thriving community of Slack enthusiasts and builders.

We’re glad you’re here, and we can’t wait to see what you build!

FAQ

What about API site?

API site is a great resource for Slack documentation, and you’ll see many links from this developer site to pages there. Over time, we plan to unify the experience between api.slack.com and slack.dev, and will ensure all changes are communicated clearly in advance.

What about Salesforce?

We are a Salesforce company, and we are working in partnership with the Salesforce Developers team to create learning paths to welcome Salesforce developers to the Slack platform. Check out the developer stories series to learn about people who are building solutions across both platforms.

How can I contribute to the blog?

If you’ve got an idea for a great blog article or piece of content, please let us know. We love community contributions!
