Slack at TrailblazerDX 2025

This year’s TDX conference is all about building AI apps for the agent era – and Agents work best right alongside your colleagues in Slack. It’s also the best place to learn about how to build AI-powered agents that work alongside you in Slack, get updates on the latest tools for making it even easier to build amazing Slack integrations, and discover how to use the latest tools and partner integrations to help make Slack a more productive operating system for work.

Introducing Agentforce in Slack

Agentforce allows anyone to build trusted agents with secure access to your data and now the agents you build for your company can be deployed directly into Slack to work alongside you and your team. Ask a sales agent for the latest figures in your account channels, or DM a helpdesk agent to get answers to questions from your knowledge base. Slack is continuing to revolutionize workplace collaboration by bringing the power of AI agents directly into your conversations.

With Slack actions built right into Agentforce, you can configure your agents to do work for you, like creating a new canvas with an account summary, finding your colleagues connected to that account, and sending it to everyone so they can prepare for an upcoming meeting.

Enterprise Search Integration

The ability to search your company’s entire conversational history has always been key to the success of Slack. Enterprise search expands that capability to your other systems of record, starting with Google Drive and Github, with Salesforce, Box, Asana, and Jira integrations coming soon.

This powerful feature helps teams discover information across their information stack while maintaining appropriate access controls and permissions. No more searching through multiple services to find the document you’re looking for or context switching between apps.

Slack CLI 3.0 and Custom Actions

When we introduced the Slack CLI a few years ago, the goal was to make it easier for developers to build integrations that anyone in their company could use. We started with the ability to build Slack functions that could be integrated into workflows, including the no-code Workflow Builder, and every day Slack executes millions of workflows with custom functions.

Now we want to expand what the CLI can do and with version 3.0 it’s possible to manage your entire Slack app development lifecycle from the command line. For the first time ever, you can create new apps that use our Bolt for Python and Bolt for JavaScript frameworks, and run them locally to make building and testing easier. Build the next amazing Slack apps without your fingers ever leaving the keyboard.

The latest CLI improvements make it easier than ever to build AI apps and integrate with Agentforce with new templates that scaffold apps preconfigured for AI agents. We’ve built our library of sample apps right into the CLI to make it easy to get started.

AI Apps in the Slack Marketplace

The Slack Marketplace now features over 25 AI Apps from our partners that can help you surface information, provide recommendations, generate helpful summaries, and more, all in the same conversational interface you are already using to get work done. Check out the announcement to get overviews for each app.

A new home for developer documentation

At Dreamforce last year, we launched slack.dev, the beginning of a new home for Slack developers. As we continue to make slack.dev the one place where developers come to get everything they need to build amazing Slack apps, we are releasing a beta of our new docs, available now at docs.slack.dev

Behind the scenes everything is brand new – a new CMS that will make it easier for our incredible docs engineers to keep up to date and add new features. We’ve refreshed the design to make it easier to use as well.

We’re still migrating the docs, including search, so let us know if something looks out of place. And the old docs are still available at api.slack.com until we’re certain everything is in the right place
